SAFETY INFORMATION
Batteries can be heavy, take care when lifting.
Wear eye protection and protective clothing when handling and charging batteries.
Clean away minor spillages of electrolyte with large volumes of clean water.
If electrolyte contacts skin, rinse the affected area immediately with clean water
and if necessary seek medical attention.
If electrolyte contacts eyes, rinse well for several minutes with clean water and
seek medical attention.
After use, batteries should be disposed of responsibly and correctly to protect
the public and the environment. Guidelines can be found from local authorities for
correct collection and disposal.

GENERAL CHARGING INFORMATION
Follow the below instructions to ensure safe and correct charging of batteries.
A battery’s performance and life expectancy will be compromised if not correctly
charged before fitting to vehicle.
Be sure to follow the correct detailed charging instructions that follow for the
relevant battery type.
During charging batteries release explosive gases including hydrogen and oxygen.
Ensure the charging area is well ventilated to avoid build up of these gases, away
from naked flames and ignition sources. Never smoke when handling or charging batteries.
Take care to eliminate accidental sparking from any equipment and tools, do not
plug in the charger until the leads are connected to the battery.
Always place the battery on a flat and stable surface during the charging process,
the work area must be dry and heat resistant. It is recommended to always remove
the battery from motorcycle for re-charging.
If the battery becomes hot during the charging process, disconnect the charger and
let the battery cool down before reconnecting it.
An automated stage pulse charger is best suited to charge motorcycle batteries,
these chargers automatically monitor battery voltage during the charge cycle, switching
into standby mode at full charge. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions
for any battery charger that is used. Only use a dedicated motorcycle charger -
NEVER use a car charger to charge a motorcycle battery. Follow good lead practice
- remove negative lead first and reconnect last.
Voltages should be measured using a voltmeter following the manufacturers instructions.
